In 2001, the estate of Sylvia Ayres was left to the Methodist Church in West Newton. Mary Lou purchased the property at an auction to combine her living space with her music studio. Being a runner and cyclist, friends began to stay over night to do workouts on the trail. After marrying Rob in 2004, Mary Lou and Rob worked with the Progress Fund to expand the operatons to the four adjacent houses, creating the Bright Morning property.
In 2024, Mary Lou and Rob retired and sold the property to Aaron and Alivia. We purchased the property from Rob and Mary Lou with a goal to continue providing excellent accomodations, further revitilize West Newton, and meet the wonderful riders of the GAP trail!
